Audition Tips:
Do NOT pre-judge your talent. Directors are looking for actors/actresses who bring ideas to the project and build a cast around the complete talent presented at auditions. While an actor may perceive he/she is “perfect” fora specific role, final decisions are made around how the entire cast works a group.
Perform monologues in character! Sny type of character to show the versatility and creativity of your capabilities.
Perform with confidence! A confident presentation during auditions will give a glimpse of an actual performance and prepares for audience reaction.
If you want to get a laugh, play it “seriously”, no smirking allowed. Do not break character! An actor/actress should never let the audience know YOU think what you are doing is as humorous as they do.
Have Fun!!!! If you do, be assured the directors and future audience will have fun as well!!
Break A Leg!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Questions?? Please call (810) 239-7469 or email jmsvalley@aol.com
